Privacy Policy
Southwark Council has a legal duty to protect the public funds we administer. The Council may share internally an applicant’s personal data provided for housing application purposes, in order to provide statutory services or perform other functions the Council is empowered to exercise. We may share the information to other agencies or organisations, as allowed by law. We may cross reference information that has been provided, or information about the applicant provided by a 3rd party, against any other information held by us.
We may also get information about the applicant from certain third parties, or provide information to:

Make sure the information is correct
These third parties may include government departments, local authorities and private sector companies, including companies that assist us in fraud detection and prevention, such as Credit Reference Agencies. We may also obtain information about an applicant from social media. We will not share information about an applicant, or use information about them for other purposes, unless this is necessary and the law allows us to.
