There are important changes to welfare policies, housing and social care over the coming months and years. These may affect you and your family so it is very important you know what these changes are and how they will impact you. The London councils have produced a website that covers this information and you can find it when you click here.
If you are under 62 years, claiming Housing Benefit and have one or more spare bedrooms, then your housing benefit will reduce from April 2013. You need to think about how you will manage to pay your rent. Further information can be found here

Please also remember that some Housing Associations have different policies to the Council on bedroom need and overcrowding. Some also have a 'no pets' policy. You may wish to contact the relevant Housing Association before placing a bid, as they may reject successful bids for these reasons.
