Important Notice - Immediate changes to the 'Small is Beautiful' scheme

Due to the high level of demand for this scheme, the budget for the grant payments thats tenants receive has now been fully used and there will be no more grant payments available until further notice.

This means that you can still bid with band 1 priority but the main change will be that you will not receive a grant if you do move to a new home.

In April 2010 the Small is Beautiful scheme will be reviewed and further information about the availability of grants will be issued. If you are currently registered on the scheme and would like to discuss this further, please call 020 7525 4193.

Welcome to Southwark Homesearch website. Every week, from Thursday to the following Monday you will be able to see the properties available for rent by those of you who are registered on Southwark’s housing list.

We will also be able to show you who the successful bidders were in the previous bidding round, in which band  they  were registered, as well as their qualifying date in that band.  This information will help to give you an idea of your chances of making a successful bid.

We also have information on other possibilities of finding a new home for you and your family. There are more people looking for a new council or housing association home in Southwark than properties available, and you may find that there will be a wait before you make a successful bid, or that you have to consider other housing options.
