Hopton’s Almshouse, stunningly located in historic Bankside, close to the river and many local facilities and well-served by public transport.
To be eligible applicants must be on low incomes and have limited savings and have lived in Southwark for the last 3 years. They would normally be aged 60+.
Both almshouses offer superbly maintained and well-equipped flats [for individuals or couples]. There are one bedroom and two bedroom flats at Purley, and one bedroom flats at Hopton’s. There are communal rooms for social activities, stunning gardens, on-site staff daily to call on, as well as a 24-hour emergency careline system.
